  • Name: Chateau De l'Aumerade Côtes de Provence Rosé
Area: cote de provence, france (see Map)

Tasting note: Lovely pale pink in colour. The fresh nose is composed of citrus aromas such as orange and grapefruit complemented by a full, spicy and fleshy palate with refreshing acidity.

  • Food pairing: Served between 45 and 50°F, this rosé goes well with any every day meal or simply on its own. Enjoy also with Pasta and Pizza or as an aperitif. Great summer wine to enjoy while you bbq! Will also go very well with Asian cuisine
Grape varieties: 40% Grenache, 40% Cinsault, 20% Syrah

Location: CÔTES DE PROVENCE is the most widely known appellation of Provence. Its geographic area comprises 84 towns of the Var, Bouches-du-Rhône and Alpes-Maritimes (1 town) departments. Presenting a certain diversity of soils, the entire area is subject to the Provencal mediterranean climate. The wine benefits from a microclimate with a lot of sunny, dry and windy days.

Terroir: The limestone soil, limited in clay, contains numerous fragments of highly porous tuff, allowing the surface to heat up quickly following the first rays of sunlight. The grapes ripen to a good level with an optimum balance of sugar and acidity.
Vinification: The vinification of rosés is a mix of both traditional and modern techniques
    Winemaker: Chateau De L'Aumerade
  • The Château de l'Aumérade is a 400 year old French vineyard located in the sheltered plain of Pierrefeu, in the heart of Provençe and encompasses 550 hectares of vines under the watchful ownership of Henri Fabre. Its red, mineral rich soils elevate the quality from other areas of the Provence appellation.
In 1950 the estate was awarded its first distinction and was designated as 'Cru Classé'.
