    Location : 3.11 miles north of the village of Sury en Vaux, in the Sancerre region, 125 miles south of Paris.

    Terroir : clay with flints.
    Age of the vines : 3 to 30 years
    Yields : 60 Hl/Ha – 3.7 Tonnes/acre
    Grape varieties : 100% Sauvignon
    Vinification : Traditional vinification with native yeast in stainless steel vats.

    Type of ageing : On lees in stainless steel vats. Ageing on lees gives the wines more fullness.
    Tasting note : Pale yellow. Nose of tropical fruits with a touch of flintiness. A crisp wine with good length.
    Accompaniment advice : Shellfish, oysters, grilled fish or simply on its own.
    Awards/Comments : Fine wine with an intense fruit bouquet. Enjoy it chilled in its youth.

  • Jérôme & Frédérique Gueneau created the Domaine des Grandes Perrières in 1993. From very small beginnings, the gradually grew to meet a growing demand. It is now a little bit more than 10 ha (24 acres).
    The quality of the wine is recognized by many restaurants and it is served at the table of the French prime minister.
