  • The Barthe family’s attachment to this ‘terroir’ is illustrated by the oldest inscriptions that can be found in the parish archives. This family wine estate, which is over four hundred years old, has been run by Stephane and Alain Barthe since 1997. The chateau is situated on the slopes of the Entre-deux-mers around the commune of Nauj an and Postiac.
The grapes are picked at an ideal level of ripeness, then de-stalked and sorted manually. Once the juice has settled, fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature, followed by cold stabilisation. The wine is thenracked and matured on the lees prior to blending and filtering, and is bottled on the property.
