2022 Nuits Saint George "Les Saint Georges 1er Cru - Domaine Desertaux Ferrand

Located in the heart of the Burgundy vineyard, on the border of the famous "Côte de Nuits" and "Côte de Beaune", the Domaine was created in 1899 by Amable Désertaux. The area is then about 3 ha. It will be necessary to wait for the arrival of Bernard and Janine Désertaux to see it expand to 12 ha. The installation of their children, Christine in 1995 and Vincent in January 2000, made it possible to energize and develop the Domaine, while having at heart to preserve the spirit of the house which has contributed so well to the reputation of the wines of the domain.

A great vintage in Burgundy, this Pommard 2016 from Domaine Désertaux-Ferrand has the color of Burlat cherries, an intense red without excess. Its bouquet reveals aromas of intense red fruits with a hint of candied fruit. Tannic and fleshy, it lengthens in finesse during the tasting. It is a wine with a strong personality, full-bodied in its youth, but will soften and be at its peak quickly.
