2021 DOMAINE LA PIGEADE VENTOUX

Appellation: Ventoux

Grape variety: Grenache, Carignan, Syrah

Yields: 40 hl/ha (instead of the 52 hl set by the appellation). 

Type of soil: clay-limestone

Soil cultivation: sustainable cultivation for over 30 years, grass cover controlled mechanically (hoeing). Scribbling is practiced several times a year at different depths depending on the case.

Vinification: manual harvest in crates, then sorted on a conveyor belt and destemmed. Cold pre-fermentation vatting. Maceration for 21 days. Thermal regulation for the search for the fruity expression of wine.

Characteristics: Deep red, shiny and luminous. Intense aromas of red fruits. Generous, easy-drinking and delicious, the finish is long and delicious.

To taste: With red meats, spicy dishes and fresh cheeses. Served slightly chilled, it will be part of all your barbecues. 

Commentary on the Red Tulip:

"A pleasant blackcurrant juice flows into a delicious, supple mouth, with a pleasant tone in the vintage. A vegetal hint of violet brightens the finish and further arouses the sensation of freshness."
